Madison Capitols Internship Opportunities

Madison Capitols Internship Opportunities
The Madison Capitols revamped internship program gives students real-life business experience in a fast-paced atmosphere.  Students will learn from professionals in the industry, and they will have the capabilities to bounce ideas off of Capitols management and ownership.  The Capitols internship is a resume builder, and students can use all employees for references following the completion of their internship.
The internship will begin with an orientation with the Capitols staff and executives prior to the start of the 2016-17 season.
Throughout the season, students will gain experience in sales, marketing, community relations, public relations, game presentation, and event planning.  Office hours will include, and are not limited to, sales calls, distribution of marketing materials, community donations, and ticket operations.
Game nights will include, and are not limited to, assisting management of groups attending the game; sales of season tickets, group nights, merchandise, and Chuck-A-Pucks; in-game promotions, in-game presentation elements; and box office duties.
The unpaid internship is for the 2016-17 season, which runs from September 2016 to April 2017.  Once the student has completed their eight-month internship, they will receive a $250 scholarship.  Students will also receive commission on any season and group sales they sell for the organization during their internship.
